Worldwide Partners Meeting 2024: reuniting for innovation and sustainability
Stahl and Weilburger Graphics by Stahl hosted the highly anticipated Worldwide Partners Meeting at the Gerhardshofen site.
Renewable feedstocks entail the elimination of non-renewable carbon resources such as coal, oil, and natural gas as feedstocks for organic chemistry, otherwise known as de-fossilization.
Humankind’s consumption of carbon-based material resources has created a series of interconnected environmental challenges: climate change, natural resource depletion, and the pollution of our air, land, and water. Renewable feedstock chemistry offers a possible answer to these growing problems and a path to more sustainable living.
We see this as an area in which Stahl can have a significant positive impact. As facilitators of renewable feedstock solutions, we can help society decouple growth from fossil carbon-based resource consumption and support de-fossilization.
We are introducing dedicated product lines that offer a more sustainable choice to conventional market alternatives without compromising on functional performance. This approach includes improving the sustainability profile of our product portfolio by incorporating more recycled and bio-based feedstocks upstream. We also design solutions to have a lower downstream environmental impact than conventional products, for example by minimizing water consumption and ensuring higher water quality.

At Stahl, we believe in the long-term potential of renewable feedstock chemistry. We want to be the driving force behind this industry-wide transformation – by not only helping our customers meet growing consumer demand for products that help to protect the environment but also driving awareness and sharing important technical know-how on developing solutions.
Collaboration is the cornerstone of our efforts to drive renewable feedstock chemistry forward. By working with like-minded partners across industries and advocating for the wider adoption of renewable chemistry solutions, we can multiply the positive impact of our science and innovation for the benefit of society at large.
Renewable feedstocks entail the elimination of non-renewable carbon resources such as coal, oil, and natural gas as feedstocks for organic chemistry, otherwise known as de-fossilization. Driving renewable feedstock chemistry forward will reduce our collective dependence on fossil-based chemistry that contributes to climate change and other environmental challenges.
In this way, we believe renewable feedstock chemistry can help support sustainable living, enabling a quality of life that people enjoy for a growing world population. Our work on renewable feedstocks covers many areas, including:
Partnering with leading innovators to drive the replacement of petrochemicals with renewable carbon sourced from biomass feedstocks, carbon capture utilization, and plastic feedstocks.
Exploring the technical possibilities of developing products with greater renewable feedstock content and lower environmental impact that outperform conventional market alternatives.
Participating in a range of industry advocacy groups, notably the Renewable Carbon Initiative, to accelerate the transition from fossil carbon to renewable feedstock for all organic chemicals and materials.
