Oils and waxes to create leather with pull-up effects
Stahl offers a range of high-performance oils and waxes for various aniline pull-up and oiled leather applications, including for garments, shoes and leather goods and upholstery. These add oily, dry, silky, or waxy textures, as well as additional properties like a wax crunch or swelling, to pull-up leather. Whether you want to produce leather with light or dark pull-up effect, or water-resistant leather, we have the premium oil or wax required.

Versatile, high-performance oils and waxes for a range of applications
Our oils and waxes help enrich leather products for the apparel & accessories and interior design industries. Using these to treat leather allows designers and manufacturers to create a range of effects – adding a dry, silky, rich or waxy feel and various pull-up effects. Stahl also offers solutions that give outdoor leather a darker or crunchy effect.
Applications range from shoes, boots, bags, and accessories to upholstery, and the choice of oils and waxes runs from standard pull-up oils and waxes to feel-modifying and nubuck oils, grain-leather oils, and water-resistant pull-up finishes for both water-resistant and non-water-resistant crusts. In particular, our AS-630 oil gives a soft feel to leather for garments or shoes and leather goods, while the AS-33-250 and Melio® Wax PO-418 waxes add a hard wax crunch effect.
Adding texture and water-resistance
Many of Stahl’s oils and waxes offer water-resistant finishes. These products either maintain or increase Maeser flexes, with minimal water absorption. In particular, Bavon® Wax 550 increases the Maeser flexes on non-water-resistant crust, while the AS-33-206 oil offers excellent wicking. In addition, our AS-723 oil adds a swelling effect and also offers water-resistance, and the AS-13-547 wax darkens leather for shoes and other leather goods.
