High-performance protein binders for a range of finishes
Our range of protein binders offer tanners a variety of finishing possibilities, from glazed to polishable to natural. They are particularly suitable for base coats for garments or shoes and leather goods applications. In particular, our BI-596 adds transparency and is particularly suitable for drum milling, while Melio* Matting adds a matting agent and wax to aid leveling and filling in base and sealer coats. Melio® Top 285 is perfect for use in base coats to achieve a glossy finish, and Melio® Waxtop B is a protein modified with wax, used in glazable base coats and polished coats.
Binders for cationic pregrounds
Stahl’s Melio® Top K-201.A provides medium-hard, medium-gloss binding for sealer and base coats, cationic pregrounds and polishing coats for garments, shoes and leather goods and upholstery applications.
