High-gloss adhesion promoters for very soft to soft film hardness
When looking for polyurethane adhesion promoters with high gloss and soft film hardness for use sealer and base coats, we can help with that. Our solutions include products from our Astacin® and Melio® portfolios, and both aromatic and aliphatic resins. Most of these resins have a fine particle size. This range includes products suitable for oil and waxy leathers, WR- and chromium-free leathers, and foil, as well as resins that produce a natural look.
High-performance polyurethane dispersion base coats
Stahl has an extensive range of base coats including products from our Astacin® and Melio® portfolios, which are primarily designed for full and corrected grain leathers, and are ideal for a range of applications, including automotive. These resins are high-performance polyurethane dispersions which can provide beneficial properties like fastness, waterspotting resistance, print retention, and high flexes.
Dull base coats for natural finishes
Stahl offers two dull base coats that are suitable for a range of applications. Our Astacin® Finish PTM can be used for base or top coats and offers excellent fastness, cold crack and adhesion properties. Our RU-13-541 produces a natural effect using our PolyMatte® technology.
Light-finish cationics
Stahl’s cationics can be used in sealer and base coats for all types of leather to create high-performance light finishes, often with strong adhesion. In particular, our RU-47-702 is used for non-highlighting leather defects.
Beauty makers for elegant finishes
Stahl’s beauty makers are for sealer and base coats for full grain leather or skins. They offer good adhesion, with our BM-904-RU used for non-highlighting leather defects, and our Melio® Promul® 70 acting as a polishing binder for fine, high-end finishes.
