Stahl has developed an extensive product portfolio of protective, functional, and decorative coatings to service the transactional card market. Screen printing is one of the preferred application methods for decorative coatings on PVC and ocean recycled substrates serving the bank card, gift card, key card, and loyalty card market space. Stahl’s R&D team formulates these products focusing on high clarity, durability, post print operations for all application methods. These clear products can be blended with various pigments (pearls & metallics) to achieve an elevated visual or security feature.

The portfolio of products ranges from lamination primers, foil adhesives, durable clear topcoats for press polishing and decorative coatings. Formulating for the next process in card manufacturing, many coatings accept foil stamping, overprinting (thermal ink jet), embossing, and lamination.
