High-solids PU embossing that goes the distance

Introducing new PU high solids systems, with post-embossability

When finishing an artificial leather material for garment, upholstery, shoe or other every day use, post-embossing techniques may provide the final design, look and feel of the article. Whereas such synthetic articles can be produced from different material options, Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is commonly viewed as easy-to-use in industrial embossing processes, but it can contain harmful substances such as chlorine and plasticizers, leading to regulatory and customer demands for an alternative option.

Introducing Stahl's new Permuthane® high-solids polyurethane (PU) resin as a new PVC-free solution that combines the high level performance for many different synthetic leather use, while maintaining excellent embossing performance over time.

Leave a lasting impression on textiles, not on the environment

Stahl 's polyurethane-based high-solids resins give textile manufacturers endless capabilities. With Permuthane® and NuVera® high solids PU resins, they can create beautiful artificial leather designs that are kinder to the planet, with a deeply textured, leather grain-like finish that lasts and lasts.

With its 100% solids content, our Permuthane®, NuVera® and PermaQure solutions improve grain definition and retention time when embossing synthetic materials, for improved aesthetic performance. And thanks to their chlorine-free base, they offer enhanced environmental credentials compared to traditional PVC embossing.
