Account Manager Performance Coatings UK + Nordics

We are looking for an Account Manager to drive and develop sales activities for the Performance Coatings Division in the UK and the Nordics (Denmark, Sweden and Norway).  

For this position you would need to be located in the UK. This can be anywhere in the UK as long as you are willing to travel.

What are your key responsibilities? 

  • Drive business growth for the Performance Coatings division in the UK and Nordics, aligning with the group's strategic goals to consistently increase turnover year over year. 

  • Strategically position the company in the market and serve as the primary contact for addressing customer concerns and needs. 

  • Expand the customer base and cultivate strong, long-term partnerships by building and strengthening customer relationships. 

  • Maintain meticulous records of prospects, customers, and opportunities to ensure accurate and actionable insights. 

  • Collaborate with the EMEA sales team and other internal departments to develop targeted marketing plans and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). 

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of Performance Coatings products and service offerings to effectively support and promote new product introductions. 

  • Contribute to sales and profit growth by leveraging market knowledge and competitive positioning. 

  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive dynamics to maintain a leading edge. 

  • Develop and implement mid- and long-term account plans for your designated area. 

  • Prepare and manage the sales budget to align with business objectives. 

  • Provide proactive support in product portfolio management to ensure a robust and competitive product lineup. 

 

What are your experience and skills? 

  • Educational background in Chemicals/materials Engineering, Textile Chemistry or Textile Engineering

  • Professional experience in a sales role in the chemical industry, with preference in the (flexible) coatings segments  like textile, films

  • Previous experience in a technical assistance role is a plus.  

  • Fluent in English. (English native)

  • Customer orientated and skilled in building relationships. 

  • Persuasive with strong influencing skills. 

  • Results oriented with excellent problem solving capabilities.
